No, not unless you choose to. Capture and on-device redaction run locally. The cloud is opt-in, one capture at a time, so sensitive screens never leave your machine unless you send them.
Who can open a share link?expand_more
Exactly who you decide. Every link has one of five access modes: public, password, sign-in required, an email-domain allow-list, or a named-viewer list. Public and password links are free; sign-in, domain and named-viewer links come with Pro and above. You can also block downloads, set an expiry, and revoke a link so it stops opening right away.
Do you offer SSO and admin controls?expand_more
Team plans add a shared workspace with roles and folders, plus org-wide force sign-in and a switch to turn downloads off. Business and Enterprise add enterprise SSO, allowed email domains, a max link age setting and an append-only audit log you can export.
How does the AI work, and is it optional?expand_more
Local transcription runs when you request it. Uploading a video can automatically start cloud transcription, chapters and summaries when those services are enabled. Cloud processing uses providers listed in our Trust Center. Keep a recording local if you do not want cloud processing.
Which browsers are supported?expand_more
7Frames is a Chrome extension and works across Chromium browsers. Recording saves as MP4 on Chrome 130 and above when the browser supports H.264, and falls back to WebM elsewhere.
What does it cost, and can I cancel?expand_more
There is a real free plan with no credit card. Paid plans start at 7 dollars a month per person billed annually, or 9 dollars billed monthly, and new accounts with a verified email get 14 days of our Team plan free. You can cancel anytime.
